I was challenged with taking one room, a very large great room, and designing it for three completely different clients. A little about these three clients...
The Countryman's
The Countryman's loved southwest "serape" inspired patterns and they were looking for a worldly and traveled vibe. They desperately needed their space to be functional for their family of five, while also offering ample lighting and storage solutions.
The Baker's
The Baker's are a retired husband and wife that use their space for entertaining diplomats and enjoying wine and cigars. They are traditional and wanted both masculine and feminine spaces throughout the room. The desperately needed seating space for intimate gathering and wanted an old library feel in their home.
The Smith's
The Smith's are a contemporary and modern couple with a fast paced lifestyle that were focused on work and being able to entertain "hip and young" friends in their great room. They lived lakeside and desperately wanted their outdated home to be modernized and fit their personal and unique styles.
All of these designs are of the same space, yet all express different styles and client personality.
